Funny Examples of Google's Predictive Search Suggestions
72Ducks Don't Echo!
I was watching the Graham Norton show last night when he got to the part of the show where they normally feature a funny website from the Internet. For me this is one of the best parts of the show and where I got the idea to write my hub on "Cats That Look Like Hitler".
You can only begin to imagine how thrilled I was when I realised that on last night's show they were going to do something slightly different. Let me explain. Anyone who uses Google Search routinely will know they have a clever feature that predicts your question as you type, apparently in order to save you having to type the full question if yours appears in the drop down list that appears as the words are added. What you may not have noticed is that often the suggested questions Google comes up with can be truly hilarious and goodness knows where they come from or how they ever got searched for in the first place.
Having seen some of the hysterical results Graham Norton got when he tried some random questions I thought I too would give this a try and publish my results here.
Why is there a dead Pakistani on my couch?
Why does my belly button smell?
Why do men go bald?
Would you survive a Zombie apocolypse?
Why do men get belly button fluff?
Why do women grunt in tennis?
Do elephants pray?
Who took my hairy toe?
Is Lady GaGa a Hermaphrodite?
Is it wrong to finger yourself?
Is it wrong for a Christian to get a tattoo?
Are Donkey's Waterproof?
Do pigs have curly willies?
Do Germans play Call of Duty?
I could go on printing these here forever as the only limits are your own imagination for the searches you might try. It is definitely very entertaining and amusing if you want to give it a try for yourselves, you never know what will come up next, and the questions vast amounts of people have asked that are side splittingly funny will amaze you.
I do hope you enjoyed these and that you can now find out for yourselves if you are safe from Zombie attack, why your belly button smells, who took your hairy toe, why women grunt in tennis and of course most importantly of all, why is there a dead Pakistani on your couch??

Hehe, Google Search always amazes me, but I usually do not focus on their predictions, cause they confuse me... Maybe I will start after your Hub, at least I can have good laugh like now. Thank you.

Cindy this was a blast! I have encountered some funny suggestions, especially when I'm not in a research mode or not in a hurry, and really the people search about! And to think I thought before that the search capsule only 'remembers' what I type! Thanks for sharing and for the laughs! :D

I will defiiely keep this page in mind. I have to confess, I did know where the phrase "dead paskistani on my couch" came from before seeing it here. From "LOST"; It was Hurley's Mom asking about Sayid laying on his couch who appeared to be dead, but was actually injected with a drug. He is actually Iraqi in the series.

I noticed the Forbes Magazine had an article about Google and how they want to OWN your mind!
It's hard to say why the search terms come up the way they do, but it might be a good thing to notice certain phrases that continue to come up. They might be doing some of their OWN mind control marketing? Who knows "Who's" in charge of that!

I watched a "Myths Buster" episode on whether or not a "ducks" quack would echo. It seems the outcome was that in certain settings with the appropriate walls, the quack did in fact echo! I think that was the outcome anyway.
But now I MUST know, are Donkeys waterproof?
